To our Hack Upstate community,

We’ve made the decision to cancel our Fall 2021 event this year due to COVID-19. We had a lot of fun at last year’s virtual event, but we’ve heard from many of you how the best part of a hackathon is being together and collaborating in the same space. We’re hopeful that we’ll be able to organize an in-person event in the Spring of 2022.

We also wanted to take this moment to share an exciting update regarding Careers in Code, our coding bootcamp for women and minorities to help combat poverty in Central New York.

We’re extremely fortunate to be moving forward with our third cohort of Careers in Code in partnership with Onondaga County and the Alliance for Economic Inclusion. We look forward to training more software engineers in an effort to combat poverty in CNY.

If you or individuals you know may be interested in taking advantage of this opportunity, or getting involved as instructors & teaching assistants, partners, or guest speakers we would sincerely appreciate it if you shared the following with individuals you think might want to get involved. Individuals can sign up for the waitlist today and they’ll be the first to hear when our admissions process opens.

Learning how to code can change your life. Hear from the graduates of the first cohort of Careers in Code on how it changed theirs.

We sincerely appreciate the community’s understanding and support. Please feel free to reach out to us at team@hackupstate.com if you have any questions.
