Rock Your LinkedIn Profile — In Partnership With Microsoft

On June 8th, we were extremely fortunate to partner with Microsoft to put on a free, one hour virtual LinkedIn Workshop for our community. We had 45 total sign ups, and 25 individuals joined us for the workshop.

LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional network that has 630M+ members, 30M+ companies, and 20M jobs.

The workshop was a great way for individuals to get a hands-on start to develop a profile and learn how to grow their professional LinkedIn skills. Hosted on Microsoft Teams, folks learned some valuable things in the workshop including:

• Creating a LinkedIn profile and effectively telling your story
• Building, engaging, and growing a professional network
• Saying informed and updated about the things that matter most to you

Using Microsoft Teams chat feature, individuals were able to ask questions directly to the team at Microsoft.

Some questions our audience asked, which Microsoft was quick to respond:

• Any tips for creating content that gives values, but doesn’t seem like you are just trying to promote yourself?
• Did you say there was a specific place for publications?
• When detailing a position should you avoid bullet points?

Here’s what two individuals from the audience said: “Great workshop!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!” and “This was nice. I think I’ll dust off my account and do some touch ups”.
